WIELICZKA SALT MINE

The Wieliczka Salt Mine is one of the oldest rock salt mines in the world. The rich history and almost 700 years of achievements of the mine have been recognised as a special asset and since 1978 it has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Check out what the Wieliczka Mine has to offer to delight millions of visitors from all over the world! You will admire unparalleled landscapes on the surface: saline lakes and beautiful underground chambers, including the unique St. Kinga Chapel. You will also learn about ancient mining tools and machinery and the methods used in the past to extract and transport salt.

KRAKOW KAZIMIERZ
Duration of the tour: approx. 3 h

Kazimierz was once a separate city founded by King Casimir the Great. At the end of the 15th century, Kraków’s Jewish community was resettled in the walled quarter, and Jewish settlement flourished here until World War II. Today, Kazimierz is not only places associated with the history of Krakow’s Jews, but also a district teeming with the city’s nightlife.

Not all tourists are enthusiasts of long, walking tours. For them we have prepared a proposal of a sightseeing tour of Krakow by Melex with an audio guide. During the tour you can see all the most beautiful and important places of the Royal City.

BOAT TRIP TO TYNIEC
Duration of trip: approx. 5 h

A cruise on the Vistula River to Tyniec offers an opportunity to look at Krakow and its environs from river level. Along the way you will hear interesting facts about the places you see on board: the monastery of the SS. Along the way, you will hear interesting facts about the places you see on board the ship: the monastery of the Norbertine Sisters in Salwator, the monastery of the Camaldolese Fathers in Bielany, and the castle in Przegorzały. An attraction is also crossing the lock “Kościuszko Step” at the Kolna Mountain Canoeing Track. After arriving at the Benedictine Abbey in Tyniec, there will be time for individual sightseeing and rest, after which we will set off on the return journey along the Vistula to the centre of Krakow.

ROYAL KRAKOW

The Royal Road is one of the most important and popular routes for tours in Krakow. It was along this route that Polish kings headed for Wawel Castle during their coronation ceremonies and official entries into the City of Cracow. Today, the royal processions are followed by tourists admiring the greatest wonders of the Old Town along the way.

TARNÓW LAND:
PAINTED COTTAGES OF ZALIPIE AND TARNÓW – POLISH HEAT POLE AND RENAISSANCE PEARL

Zalipie is called the most beautiful village in Poland. Regardless of the time of year, you can enjoy the extraordinary views here, feast your eyes and soul on the fancifully composed bouquets of flowers which decorate everything that can be painted: houses, flat walls, utensils, napkins, clothes, cowsheds, wells, fences and even dog kennels…. And anyone who has seen Tarnów at least once cannot resist the charm of its Gallic atmosphere. It is not only the unique beauty of the Old Town, which has preserved streets in a medieval plan, Gothic and Renaissance buildings, fragments of defensive walls. It is also the special spirit that distinguishes the old towns of the south from the rest of Poland.
